Alexandra Daddario and Ross Butler Are 2022 SAG Awards Ambassadors

The performers will participate in pre-show events, serve as presenters and more.

Alexandra Daddario and Ross Butler have been named Ambassadors for the 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

SAG Awards Ambassadors embody the values of the acting profession and are regarded as role models for the next generation of performers. In addition, they are committed to humanitarian causes and public service.

In their roles on behalf of the Guild, they provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the SAG Awards ceremonies and participate in various pre-show events. They will also serve as presenters during the show.

Daddario was recently part of the ensemble cast of the acclaimed HBO limited series White Lotus. She first garnered widespread recognition in another HBO production, the first season of the Emmy-nominated series True Detective. Other television projects include Why Women Kill and The Girlfriend Experience. Her feature film credits include San Andreas, starring Dwayne Johnson. Her numerous philanthropic efforts include service as an ambassador for The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and as a member of the Global Advisory Council of Care.org.

Butler achieved fame in the Netflix productions 13 Reasons Why and the To All the Boys franchise. He also appeared in the Disney Channel family comedy K.C. Undercover, the CW drama Riverdale and the superhero feature Shazam! Born in Singapore, he has been a vocal critic of stereotypical representation of Asians in television and film and is a devoted advocate for more nuanced and diverse roles for Asian performers.

The SAG Awards will be nationally simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, February 27 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and, for the first time, will be available the following day on HBO Max.
